Grand Horizons press release

ACTING ENSEMBLE PRODUCES “GRAND HORIZONS”

Mishawaka, IN—The Acting Ensemble announces the opening of the comedy, “Grand Horizons” by Bess Wohl. Performances are May 31, June 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, and 9 at 7:30pm; 2:00pm on Sundays.  All performances take place at Acting Ensemble’s home; “Ensemble on the Avenue”, 602 E. Mishawaka Avenue in Mishawaka.

This throwback 1970’s sitcom-style comedy/drama is by turns funny, shocking, and painfully honest. It explores a family turned upside-down when Nancy, fifty years into her marriage to Bill, announces she wants a divorce. Bill seems unfazed, but her two adult sons are shaken to the core, and swoop in to try to restore balance to their parents’ outwardly happy lives. As each member of the family grapples with their new reality, they must also face an imperfect past and reckon how their love for each other might express itself in new and unlikely forms. And we get an intimate glimpse into the wild, unpredictable, and enduring nature of love.

Directed by Bill Heimann, assisted by Philip Schatz, and performed by Bill Becker, Jan Turney, Niall Garvin, Kyle Hutslar, Lisa Blodgett, Jeff Starkey, and Mary Toll.

This show contains adult content: Occasional outbursts of language and frank discussions of sex. Not appropriate for young or sensitive audiences.
