THE STORY: From the playwright who gave us I’m Gonna Pray For You So Hard, How to Make Friends and Then Kill Them, and A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center of New York City. Without deviating from the subject and context of Chekhov’s classic tale, this contemporary fresh twist on Chekov’s Three Sisters tackles the absurdity of the privileged class and the power of love – this version is played almost exclusively for amusement. Even the dourest sentiments have a jaunty quality – “No one will remember us”; “That’s what life is, doing horrible things and complaining about them”; and “Nothing’s ever really too dark for us”.  And, while still done in 4 acts, its only 95 minutes long!

Directed by Kyle Wellington Hutslar, assisted by Wyatt Katzenberger, and performed by Bill Becker, Lisa Blodgett, Andi Creasbaum, Melissa Gard, Niall Garvin, Tate Gerndt, Wyatt Katzenberger, Cat Kristoff, Dani Lyons, Darrin Sims, Z Taylor, and Jan Turney.
