Senior Storytelling Sunday May 19 at 2:00 pm

Storytelling is as old as language itself. It’s an essential human process  that brings people together for a universal experience

Hearing stories told by our parents and grandparents isn’t just a glimpse into a time past. In celebrating their lives through  their stories, we can discover our own truths, find healing and assurance, and build community.

By conveying memories and values to a new generation, storytelling allows older adults to transfer values and meaning to younger generations. It helps to decrease stress and provides for a greater sense of wellbeing.

Come listen to true stories from real people about seeking a better life, working hard, making a good impression, finding resilience, and surviving mistakes and hardships. Bring the family!

We’ve partnered with St. Paul’s independent living community in this pilot project to bring senior storytelling to the forefront. Join us as we find common ground in the human experience. Admission is pay-what-you-can at the door.

Senior Storytelling is made possible, with the generous support from the Muessel Ellison Memorial Trust.
