You’re invited to a reading of The Jailer and His Daughter, a historical novel that takes place during the Reformation. Set in Holland in the 1500s, the novel begins with escaped heretic Dirk Willems saving his jailer’s life. Author Kirsten (Kiki) L. Klassen will read excerpts from her novel and answer questions.
“My characters are searching for meaning during a time when disobedience can have devastating consequences. I’m intrigued with exploring how people find the courage to live authentic lives despite their fears,” she says.
